About Hamilton Beach
Hamilton Beach traces back to 1910, when inventor Frederick J. Osius founded the company in Racine, Wisconsin, and named it after two of his employees, Louis Hamilton and Chester Beach. Beach went on to develop a lightweight universal motor that powered the company's earliest kitchen appliances, and by the 1920s Hamilton Beach had built a name in motor-driven home appliances. In 1990 the company merged with fellow appliance maker Proctor-Silex to form what became the largest U.S. manufacturer of small kitchen appliances.
